Litho printing
Whatever you’re looking for, from letterheads to catalogues, brochures, leaflets, newsletters, folders, posters, mailers cards and more, we have the plant and technical expertise to help.
By managing our print finishing in-house, we’re able to maintain the same quality control as we do over our litho, digital and screen printing services. And in doing so, we’re able to ensure that every stage of the production process – from studio to print to finishing – links seamlessly into the next; and we’re able to keep costs and deadlines as keen and competitive as possible.
We can provide all the finishing services you’d expect of a one-stop-shop print group, and one or two more besides. As well as in-line sealing, creasing and perforating, we can trim, die cut, crease, stitch and fold. We can provide confidential finishing services.
And we can offer scratch’n’sniff printing, foil blocking, embossing, metallic latex scratch cards, and remoist gumming. Such is our expertise in these areas that we regularly provide finishing services to the trade.
We also offer a full range of ‘bureau’ finishing services for digital print including cutting/trimming, in-line booklet maker, laminating and wiro-binding.
Our expertise in variable data digital printing means we are experienced in producing personalised direct marketing materials and can handle direct mail projects from start to finish. Just supply us with an Excel spreadsheet and we’ll do the rest (we’ll even help you set up the spreadsheet if required).
The service covers everything from the production and collation of multipart materials (all produced under one roof of course), bagging, wrapping, labelling / addressing and despatch.
Folding is a central part of the print process in terms of both preparing materials for further finishing such as collating or binding or finishing the product to its final size.
You may think that this is a technology suitable only for the stars stuck to the ceiling in your child’s bedroom, but that’s far from reality.
Heat and reveal printing – also known as heat sensitive printing – uses thermochromic inks to create an effect that we’re all familiar with: the revealing of previously unseen graphics when heat is applied.
Re-moist gumming is a specialised type of gluing where adhesive gum is applied to an area of the sheet of paper to allow subsequent sealing by the end-user.
Applied using our Sias or SPS screen printing machines, latex ink delivers opaque coverage but is easy to remove using a coin or fingernail.
Smell is the most evocative of all the senses: from baked bread and freshly brewed coffee to fields of lavender and newly mown grass, smells affect our mood and evoke a whole range of emotional responses.
Spot UV varnish finishing is one of the most popular finishing techniques in business printing and for good reason.
